While I’m sure many Nassau County residents have heard about the layoff of about 130 employees from WestRock, as many of them were Nassau County residents, many of them probably haven’t heard of the fiscal crisis the county is facing. A recent audit conducted by the well-respected consulting firm Burton & Associates shows the potentially devastating financial crisis the county is up against, which could challenge the prosperity of our county and impact residents for generations to come
