Nassau County’s population has grown by more than 31% since 2012, It is now the sixth fastest-growing county in the state of Florida and, according to The 2023 Nassau County Growth Trends Report, between 2020 to 2022, Nassau County was the 65th fastest growing county out of 3,145 total in the United States.
While our county continues to face fiscal challenges, associated with several decades of relatively low-quality growth, combined with poor planning and fiscal decisionmaking, it is important to acknowledge that significant progress has been made to address many of the concerns expressed by economists around the county’s future fiscal sustainability.
